Jane is a Los Angeles native, her parents entertained Richard and Pat Nixon at parties in their hilltop mansion. Her serial entrepreneur father founded ADC and invented the audiometer. Her mom wrote melodramas at the Birdcage Theatre at Knott's Berry Farm, where Steve Martin used to work. Her parents got tired of Los Angeles and moved everyone to Hilo, Hawaii.

Jane grew up speaking pidgin, moved to Japan before going to college, then chose Michigan State University out of a catalog.

There she produced student TV and graduated with high honors. Jane met Bob, made a PBS series about Michigan folk music, married Bob and worked briefly in automotive media. A little Detroit was enough.

Back in LA, Jane learned 23 different edit systems, produced some features, joined the Writers Guild and Producers Guild, won national awards for television and feature films she produced.

Jane's DVD about raising chickens is an all time best seller. She's a good artist, organic gardener and cook.
